We're Fried Green Tomatoes, a leading steak house and Italian restaurant in Galena, IL since 1993. Here, we pride ourselves on great service, fresh food, and an atmosphere that's perfect for family or friends. We had an amazing experience here! It was our first time traveling to Galena. We decided to try Fried Green Tomatoes based on the menu we saw online. Our experience was amazing. We sat at the bar, and our bartender Will was such a refreshing experience. He’s a college student, and had the most amazing personality and people skills. He should be giving training sessions to any and all bartenders in the service industry. His people skills are amazing, and Fried Green should consider themselves lucky that they have him as an employee. He asked us our names, introduced himself and shook our hands. He referred to us by name after that, and was extremely attentive. The food was very good as well. The food was actually secondary to the experience that we had, due to him. We would highly recommend!

the food was amazing!!!! all of the entrees come with fresh baked bread and oil, along with the most delicious salad ever. the pasta aglio is super fresh and has the best sauce ever, and the espresso filet mignon was so juicy and creamy, with a nice crisp on the outside. so good and great service!!! definitely recommend

This place is awesome!!! Service: on point! Everyone works as a team water is always full and always checking in. Very knowledgeable when asked about anything on the menu. Food: Delicious!!! I had the steak and man that char flavor was perfect! Let's not forget the bread oooo my the bread!! Definitely going again! Shout out to Carley!!!!!
