We're Fried Green Tomatoes, a leading steak house and Italian restaurant in Galena, IL since 1993. Here, we pride ourselves on great service, fresh food, and an atmosphere that's perfect for family or friends. Our goal is to serve the best steaks and seafood around, using only the freshest ingredients. Our menu is rich with choices from steak and seafood to pasta and veal. Fried Green Tomatoes did not disappoint once again. We arrived 30 minutes early and they seated us right away. Very good service. The salad and bread that came with our entrees were excellent. Our scallops with risotto and shrimp & burrata ravioli rival top Chicago restaurants. And, the crème brûlée was certainly better than what we got in downtown Chicago two weeks ago. Combined with small town Midwestern hospitality and what's not to love? It's our Thursday time at Fried Green Tomatoes and we will certainly be back! Bravo and grazie!

Are reservations required?

Reservations are not required but they are highly recommended. For your convenience, online reservations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.friedgreen.com. You may also call our restaurant directly (815) 777-3938 or email us at dinner@friedgreen.com

Do you have an elevator?

We are a historic multi-level dining facility, we do not have an elevator.

Do you have high chairs or booster seats?

For the dining enjoyment for all our guests, we do not provide high chairs or booster seats. Also, please note that our restrooms do not have changing tables.

Is there a dress code?

While we have no formal dress code and welcome guests in whatever attire they feel most comfortable.

What parking is available?

Off street parking is available on Main, Commerce and Water streets of Galena. There are paid parking lots accessible from Commerce Street. Please note that we are not affiliated with any paid parking lots.
